Past, future, present...

Once I heard Andrew Fellows from L'Abri in London talk about the sacrament of the present moment. One of the facets of his talk that really struck me was how easily we all tend to disconnect ourselves from the present moment – the only moment in which we have contact with reality – because of how we spend our energies considering our pasts and futures. However, as is indicated by Normal's tripping over a rock, it's also pretty remarkable that we can't really escape the present moment entirely.
